Implants for the treatment of pelvic support conditions and methods of implementing the same. The implants comprise relatively soft, flexible bodies and relatively strong arms extending in predetermined orientation therefrom. Methods and devices for placing the implants minimize trauma to the pelvic floor and provide well-anchored support to pelvic organs without interfering with sexual or other bodily functions.

1. A method for placing a pelvic floor disorder implant in a patient comprising:
obtaining an implant comprising a body portion and at least two arms; making an anterior vaginal wall incision to expose a portion of an anterior vaginal compartment; making a first skin incision and a second skin incision in said patient; creating a first passageway between an anterior vaginal compartment, through an obturator fossa and to the first skin incision; creating a second passageway between the anterior vaginal compartment in a direction substantially reaching an ischial spine, through an ischiorectal fossa and to the second skin incision; routing a first of said at least two arms through the first passageway; passing a second of said at least two arms through the second passageway; and positioning said body portion of said implant into a desired position.
