PURPOSE:To improve the information transfer efficiency by selecting a channel in matching with a channel selected for use by a sender side from the standpoint of information transfer capability when a called channel is selected so as to allow the information transfer capability of both channels to enhance completely. CONSTITUTION:A caller channel information transfer means 201 adds identification information of a transmission channel decided for use between a caller terminal equipment 100 and an exchange 200 at setup to a caller request packet and a called terminal equipment 300 transfers the result to a caller exchange 400 accommodating a called terminal equipment 300. When a called channel discrimination means 401 decides a called channel used with the called terminal equipment 300, the identification information of the caller channel transferred from the caller exchange 200 is referenced to decide the called channel satisfying the information transfer capability of the transmission channel. Thus, when the called channel is selected, the channel in matching with the channel selected for use at the caller side from the standpoint of the information transfer capability is selected, the information transfer capability of both channels is completely enhanced and the information transfer efficiency of an integrated services digital network is improved. |
