The programming device is for remote actuators which are autonomous and do not require any cable connections. They may be buried, submerged or mounted in air and are interchangeable and individually identifiable. The actuators possess input sensors which permit automatic adaptation of programs. Operational programs are entered into a remote programmer and then transmitted to each actuator by pressing a button for some instants in the immediate vicinity. The actuators acknowledge reception and retain the programs until there is a fresh entry. The remote programme permits scheduled operation, or operation on a variable cycle and manual operation may also be adopted. ADVANTAGE - Control of actuators is possible through solids or liquids, avoiding cabling.
