The switchboard has a housing (10) with a door (13) and a single pole or multi-pole connecting socket (17) for accepting the connecting plugs (19). The housing (10) has a plug connection chamber (16), which is partly defined by the door (13) and contains the connecting socket(s) (17). The housing has a partition wall (15) which separates the plug connection chamber (16) from the electronic equipment. One or more openings (20) are provided at the edge of the door (13), for passing the cable (18) through.
