In the sight aid macula takes part. The sight field is divided by a point or ring raster in concentric rings. Pref. the ring spacing is 0.5 to 0.05 mm. The point dia. is 0.01 mm and the point side spacing is approximately 0.05 mm. The raster is typically formed by glass, or laser engraving, or embedding a metal raster in lenses. ADVANTAGE - Improved sight correction and easy manufacture.
