The at least one stopper (33) has an operating shaft (31) whose centre axis is parallel to the direction in which the objects (11), which are esp. in the form of pallets, move. The stoppers are spaced apart pref. along the length of the object being transported. The operating shaft is connected to a lifting mechanism (39) rotating the shaft. The lifting mechanism is brought into contact with the operating shaft by a lever (37). USE/ADVANTAGE - Separator is flexibly used in transfer systems. It does not impede further processing of objects esp. of carrier pallets.
