ETHYLENE VINYL ALCOHOL BASED PLASTIC FILM WITH IMPROVED ORIENTABILITY A heat shrinkable film with excellent oxygen barrier properties and high orientation compatability comprises a substrate and a coating upon the substrate. The substrate comprises a sealant layer containing linear low density polyethylene, a predominantly linear low density polyethylene core layer upon the sealant, and a first tie layer on the core. The coating comprising a second tie layer adjacent the first tie layer, an ethylene vinyl alcohol layer adjacent the second tie layer, a third tie layer on the ethylene vinyl alcohol layer, and a skin layer containing linear low density polyethylene on the third tie layer.
