The system uses cable ladders which are formed by a number of longitudinal, spaced apart wire components (10,12,14) connected by transversal wire components (16). Fixtures are formed of plate material and have a part (24) fixable to a support surface together with support components (28) for engagement with the cable ladder wire components. The fixtures have end surfaces (32), which are formed only by the plate material thickness. The fixtures (22) are arranged in one and the same position, where the end surfaces (32) formed by the plate material thickness are turned upwards and downwards, to support the cable ladders both in a horizontal and a vertical direction on a vertical support surface. The fixture support components (28) are arranged in a horizontal direction of the cable ladders to support them by engagement with the longitudinal wire components (10,12,14) and in a vertical direction of the cable ladders to support them by engagement with the transversal wire components (16).
