The nozzle insert (5) is formed as one piece and is sealingly fitted in the hole (12) of the bit pocket (14), having two ring seals (10,11). The insert has a semi circular or circular sieve (14) which protrudes into the lower part of the accommodating hole. The water from the water supply canal (6) has a spirally forward movement toward the nozzle. The recessed part (8) of the insert has a greater outer diameter than the rest of the part. The water supply canal is of two parts, one running in the longitudinal direction of the insert and the other (15) feeding tangentially into the first. ADVANTAGE - The relative movement between the bit head and the bit pocket cannot lead to any damage or disturbance to the nozzle insert.
