PURPOSE:To detect a termination and the winding state of a paper by a single detection means and to simply constitute the detection means by providing a part to be detected having an equal optical character to the paper used for printing. CONSTITUTION:The part to be detected 8 is provided near the termination position of a photosensitive film 3 so as to have the equal optical character to the paper used for printing, for example, by using a white paint. A light emitting diode 61 and a photodiode 62 are integrated in the detection means 6 and arranged so that light emitted from the diode 61 is reflected on the part to be detected 8, it becomes irregular reflection luminous flux 63 and the luminous flux 63 is detected by the diode 62. Besides, even when the paper is wound round a photosensitive mechanism 1, the paper wound round the photosensitive mechanism 1 is detected when it is carried to a position faced to the detection means 6. Therefore, the termination of the film 3 can be detected by using the detection means 6 originally provided in order to detect the winding state of the paper round the photosensitive mechanism 1. |
