PURPOSE:To obtain the exchange system for mobile communication in which the system configuration is simplified and the speech signal quality is not deterio rated by providing a signal code exchange section to a post-stage of an exchange in an exchange station. CONSTITUTION:An exchange station 3 is provided with a network(NW) prestage device 15 having an interface function with a radio base station 2 and a function converting a format of a speech signal with the hardware, an exchange 11 and an NW post-stage equipment 16 exchanging different signal codes. In the case of the connection between same signal code terminal equipments, a control section is connected directly to the exchange 11 not via the equipment 18, and when signal code forms between both terminal equipments to be connected differ, after the signal code is converted by the equipment 16, the terminal equipments are connected via the exchange 11. Through the constitution above, it is not required to provide the signal code converter to each mobile body terminal equipment 1, the code exchange processing is less, and the mobile communication use exchange system is realized, in which the configuration is simplified and the speech signal quality is not deteriorated.
