PURPOSE:To obtain good adhesion property, excellent mechanical characteristics, less curling, and good antistatic property by specifying the glass stransition temp. of a polyester supporting body treated with glow discharge. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive material has a silver halide emulsion layer on the one side of a polyester supporting body. This polyester supporting body is treated with glow discharge to have the glass stransition temp. between >=90 deg.C and <=200 deg.C and heat treated at >=50 deg.C and lower than the glass transition temp. of the polyester supporting body. More preferably, the atmosphere for the glow discharge treatment contains >=10% H2O. When the glow discharge treatment is performed, the polyester supporting body is preheated at temp. higher than 50 deg.C and lower than the glass transition temp. of the polyester supporting body. The polyester supporting body consists of polyester essentially consisting of naphthalene dicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol.
