PURPOSE:To attain the correction with high precision and to shorten adjusting time by detecting the two-dimensional position of an electronic beam based on a signal generated according to the scanning of an electronic beam, and deflecting the electronic beam. CONSTITUTION:The electronic beam is generated from electronic guns 1-3, and led to the display screen of an index phosphor 6. The index phosphor 6 is shaped like two oblique lines, and the RGB phosphor 6 is applied to a phosphor face 5. At thus time, the RGB phosphor 6 is continuously applied to a shadow ask face 4 corresponding to the main scanning direction of the electronic beam. Then, the two-dimensional position of the electronic beam of a radiating output is detected by a detecting element 12 according to the scanning of the electronic beam, and the electronic beam is deflected by the signal of the element 12. Moreover, a waveform for correcting the convergence or the geometric distortion is prepared from the detection signal of the element 12 by a correction waveform preparing part 13, applied to a deflecting part 13, and the scanning is controlled. Thus, the highly precision correction can be attained, and the adjusting time can be also shortened in the simple constitution. |
