The silencer has a cylindrical housing (2) with three chambers. The chamber (C) with the lowest excess pressure is connected to the exhaust discharge tube (4) via a separate connection for the removal of condensate. The connection consists of a connection channel (3) and a connection tube (5). The channel is located at the lowest point of the housing, and extends from the chamber near the discharge end (9) of the exhaust discharge tube. The tube extends from the channel and opens (10) in the area of the discharge end. The lower wall of the channel is formed by the housing wall.
