Insert loader for packaging machine - has inserts fed to collection holder by two belt drives and transferred by endless feed grips

The inserts (6) are fed to the collection point (A) between the two endless belt drives (7',7") and dropped into position on restraining stops (22,23). One edge of each insert is gripped by passing grips (3) on an endless belt fed to drop the inserts into the collating holders which feed the packing stations. The restraining grips are formed by two angled metal plates with a tapering slot to hold each insert. Each insert is positioned accurately for the pickup. USE/ADVANTAGE - For prospectus, parcel labels etc. The simple restraining holder accurately positions each insert for pickup and combining with the items for packing.
