Ball thread drive for air and space travel - has spheres of two different diameters, one ceramic and load carrying and the other as spacer of martensitic steel

A ball thread drive uses ball bearings of two different diameters such that for each carrier sphere a smaller separating sphere follows. The carrier spheres (3) are ceramic, and the separating spheres (4) are made of material with a modulus of elasticity close to that of customary ball bearings used in this design of drive. The design proposal would be for a silicon nitride carrier sphere and a separating sphere of a nitrogen compounded, martensitic steel. USE/ADVANTAGE - Ball thread drive for air and space travel, reduces and avoids operational wear to provide long useful life.
