PURPOSE:To transmit data with high speed by processing a data to be transmitted as an optical signal, and executing the change-over of the data route between input and output ports with a spatial optical switch. CONSTITUTION:The followings are provided: an input device 1 to input data signals DI1-DI3 from respective input ports through an optical fiber 71, the spatial switch 2, an output device 3 to output data signals DO1-DO3 form respective output ports through an optical fiber 72, an input controller 4, a switch controller 5, and an output controller 6. To the input device 1, optical detectors 11-13 to detect the data signals DI1-DI3 are provided. To the spatial optical switch 2, diffraction gratings 21 23 are provided, and to the output device optical memories 31-33 to output the data signals DO1-DO3 are provided. By replacing the processing inside the system with a light, the data can be transmitted at high speed. |
