PURPOSE: To form pixels of white, black and five colors among the six primary colors by utilizing only two colors among the three primary colors of a subtractive color mixture of cyan, magenta and yellow from two three-level zerography units and superposing toner dots on toner dots to combine them to form the three primary colors of an additive color mixture. CONSTITUTION: Two beams are formed by a raster main scanner 102 and beam 132 is converged to the point 140 on a photoreceptor belt 138 between the charge station 144 of a three-level zerography unit 104 and developing stations 146, 148 and beam 134 is converged to the point 142 on the photoreceptor belt 138 between the charge station 150 of a three-level zerography unit 106 and developing stations 152, 154. Only two colors among the three primary colors of a subtractive color mixture of cyan, magenta and yellow are utilized to superpose toner dots on toner dots to form the three primary colors of an additive color mixture. |
