PURPOSE:To let a user inform the case wherein the resolution of a printer and the resolution of a font data given to the printer do not coincide. CONSTITUTION:When a font data is fed by connection of a font cartridge and a down load from a host computor or when the resolution of a printer is switched (S18), the resolution which the resolution data stored in a printer resolution storing buffer indicate is compared with the resolution which the resolution data corresponding to the font cartridge stored in the outside data resolution storing buffer, and the font data fed by down load indicate, are compared with each other (S22 and S26). If both resolutions do not coincide, a message indicating it is not coincidest is indicated on a display part. |
