PURPOSE:To efficiently promote growth of fishes by using a non-phospholipid component extracted from crude soybean lecithin as a methanol-water soluble component and feeding the extract from the crude soybean lecithin with methanol-water to fishes. CONSTITUTION:Crude soybean lecithin is blended with methanol, chloroform and water, the mixed solution is homogenized by a homogenizer at a room temperature, the mixed solution is well shaken, the chloroform layer is separated and the obtained methanol-water layer is evaporated to dryness. The residue is dissolved in a small amount of water and the obtained solution is suspended in an oleic ester. The suspension is mixed with a feed for fishes and shellfishes prepared by casein, sucrose, a mineral mixture, cod-liver oil, glucose, agar, alpha-starch, a vitamin mixture, arginine hydrochloride, etc., and a feed containing the extract of the crude soybean lecithin with methanol-water is fed to fishes and shellfishes (e.g. kuruma prawn) to efficiently promote growth of fishes and shellfishes. |
