PURPOSE:To provide a tape abnormality detecting device for a grinding tape in a grinding device capable of surely detecting the tape not only when a tape run out has happened but also when a tangling, improper winding, etc., of the tape has happened. CONSTITUTION:A device comprises a rotary roller 8 provided between a tape roll of winding a grinding tape 2 and a workpiece to come into slide contact with the grinding tape 2 and to rotate with its running, rotary unit 9 rotated with this rotary roller 8 and rotation detecting mechanism 10 for detecting rotation of this rotary unit 9. |
