PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic motor which can produce high torque at high efficiency under high speed rotational region through simple structure. CONSTITUTION:The ultrasonic motor 1 comprises a pair of stators 2, 3, Langevin transducers 4a-4e, 5a-5e, 14a-14e, 15a-15e arranged annularly on the stators 2, 3, a rotator 30, and a shaft 38. The Langiven transducers 4a-5e oppose to the transducers 14a-15e with the rotator 30 being held between under noncontact state. Thickness oscillation is excited in the transducers 4a-15e upon application of AC voltage. This oscillation induces traveling bending oscillation in the rotator 30 through utilization of magnetic force functioning between the rotator 30 and the magnets 9 of the transducers 4a-15e. |
