PURPOSE:To provide a nonvolatile semiconductor memory with high reliability in data reading. CONSTITUTION:The nonvolatile semiconductor memory is provided with a control logic 8, an ECC generator checker 9 and CPU 10 which are for detecting/correcting erroneous data in a data area at the time of reading data from an EEPROM module 15 which is composed of plural pages provided with a data area and an ECC(error check, collection) area and is divided into block units in the unit of a page, the control logic 8 and CPU 10 which are for saving corrected data and data of all the pages excepting corrected data to a data buffer 7, and the data buffer 7, the ECC generator checker 9, working RAM 11 and CPU 10 which are for erasing all the pieces of data in the block including erroneous data from the EEPROM module 15 and rewriting all the pieces of data saved to the ata buffer 7 into the EEPROM module 15. |
