PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized image forming device having a simple structure and capable of obtaining a precise image of high image quality. CONSTITUTION:The device is provided with a latent image holding body 1 which is moved while holding the electrostatic latent image on its surface, a magnetic field forming means 2 enclosed in the latent image holding body 1, forming a magnetic field on at least the part of the surface of the latent image holding body 1 where magnetic developer is directly supplied and attracting, restraining and holding the magnetic developer 10 on the surface of the latent image holding body 1 by a magnetic field to supply the developer onto the surface of the latent image holding body 1, an electrostatically charging means arranged at a position opposite the surface of the electrostatic latent image holding body 1 at a prescribed interval, an electric power supply 6 by which an alternating field is formed between the electrostatic charging member 5 and the latent image holding body 1 and the magnetic developer 10 which is attracted, restrained and held on the surface of the latent image holding body 1 by the magnetic field of the magnetic field forming means 2 and carried in a prescribed space is vibrated in the space to be electrostatically charged on the latent image holding body 1, and developer recovering means 7, 8 and 9 for recovering the magnetic developer 10 sticking to the non-image part of the electrostatic latent image on the surface of the latent image holding body 1. |
