<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a production method of high-quality color filters with simple facilities and process by which unreacted monomers in the color filter layer are completely polymerized. CONSTITUTION:A light shielding film 2 is formed between picture elements on a glass substrate 1, on which photopolymerizable colored varnish coating film 3 is formed, and further an oxygen shut-off film 4 of polyvinyl alcohol is formed on the colored varnish film 3. Then active rays in a picture element pattern is originated through a photomask 5 to photopolymerize the colored varnish coating film 3, while the colored varnish coating film 3 and oxygen shut-off film 4 not exposed are removed by a developer to form a color filter layer 3'. Then the color filter layer 3' is cleaned with pure water and a liquid coating film 6 of this pure water as the oxygen cutting film is formed on the glass substrate 1. In this sate, the glass substrate 1 is irradiated with active rays from high-pressure mercury lamp through both surfaces to completely polymerize unreacted monomers in the color filter layer 3' to produce the color filter.</p> |
