The holes in the back wall (13) of the support frame side uprights (7) run longitudinally and vertically to the top panel. The back wall has an adjustable control (15) with elongated holes slanting at an angle of 10 to 20 deg. near the first elongated holes (14). The control, in the form of a metal plate, is positioned inside the upright. It has an adjusting screw and is guided by punched out tongues (21). USE/ADVANTAGE - The desk top and attached top member are always kept horizontal and flush with one another even with deformation of the supporting uprights.
