The invention relates to a low-pressure discharge lamp and a process for producing such a lamp. The electrode filaments of the low-pressure discharge lamps according to the invention are preferably activated by means of an emitter paste consisting of barium carbonate which contains no further additives. This improves the cold-start resistance of the low-pressure discharge lamps.
