The hood cover has a gutter-shaped projection consisting of a long profile (4) of elastic material which is fastened water-tight to the roof (2). The profile is formed by a cord with water-proof cover (4'). An edge lining (3) of plastics or similar material, is fastened waterproof to the side edges (2') of the roof. The edging has a U-shaped profile, supports the profile on its outer leg (3'). The profile extends between the front support strut of the car, and the side cover section, and leads with one end into a water drain. ADVANTAGE - Separate projection can be fastened simply and economically, and replaced if necessary.
