Travelling dredger for building excavations and shafts - has flat ramming surface on underside of dredger shovel and has high frequency vibrator between boom and shovel

The dredger incorporates a pref. high-frequency vibrator (17) between the free end of the boom and the dredging shovel (14). The shovel has a flat ramming surface (19) on the underside. The centre of gravity of shovel and vibrator is located on a vertical line passing through the geometrical centre of the ramming surface. The top of the shovel carries a jacket (20), which surrounds at least the lower section of the vibrator. The inner sides of the jacket carry damper elements (22). The element hold a stop plate (23) on the vibrator-sided end. The housing of the vibrator engages on these elements, when the shovel is loaded in swivel direction. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. for use on long narrow sites, e.g. between railway lines. Can also be used for ramming purposes. It eliminates use of separate machine.
