The infrared camera according to the invention is protected from the parasitic modulations of the detected flux, appearing during the scanning of its detector and/or on account of the position of the elementary sensors in the detector, by keeping the geometrical extent of the scene seen by each elementary sensor to a constant value. In order to do this, the invention consists in placing, in a plane pi , where the beams are well separated during a horizontal scanning operation carried out by a mirror MH, a mask F which includes a region of spectral absorption whose area is calculated so that the detector DP "sees", during the scanning, the same geometrical extent through the cold diaphragm EF. Application to all infrared cameras, whether having monodirectional or bidirectional scanning or no scanning.

|
