Feed for young pigs in powdered or pellet form is dispensed in the same unit in that this is converted to the two forms. A feed container 8 is mounted on a tube 4, which can assume two positions, either sitting on crossbars 3a, b or resting against the base. In the high position, feed can be dispensed which is not very free- running. Owing to the shape of the faces 5 the tube can be turned for lowering between the bars, and more free- running feed can then come out of the smaller openings 7. <IMAGE>
