PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a dimmer multilayer glass. CONSTITUTION:A liquid crystal film 34 is provided parallel to glass panes 30, 32 so that an air layer provided between the glass panes 30, 32 is divided into two parts 36, 38. Voltage can be applied from lead wires 48, 50 via electrode leading portions 44, 46 to transparent electrode films provided on both the front and back sides of the liquid crystal film 34. Since a dimmer multilayer glass can be obtained by stacking the glass panes 30, 32 and the liquid crystal film 34 one atop another, the glass can easily be manufactured in a short time. Because the air layer is divided into two parts and because of the heat reflection effect of the transparent electrode films on the surface of the liquid crystal film, heat insulating effects are so high. |
