PURPOSE:To ensure that data can be printed, if data is sent from a host computer in a data format which cannot be printed by providing a form processing part which interprets the data format of an electronic form sent from a host computer and converts the electronic form to a data format which can be printed using a printer. CONSTITUTION:If printer devices having different printable data formats are connected to host computers 1A and 1B, a single electronic form is stored only in a single data format. In addition, format processing parts 13A to 1C are provided on each printer device 3A to 3C. These form processing parts 13A to 13C interpret the data format of an electronic form sent from the host computer and convert the form to a data format which can be printed using an appropriate printer device. Thus it is possible to execute printing, if the electronic form is sent from the host computer in a data format which cannot be printed. |
