PURPOSE:To improve the sweat resistance and light fastness of the fiber structure dyed with a reactive dyestuff and useful for sports wears, casual wears, etc., by imparting a substance acting as an acid and its salt to the fiber structure. CONSTITUTION:Woven or knitted fabric comprising cellulosic fibers such as cotton or rayon, or protein fibers such as wool is dyed into a prescribed color with a reactive dyestuff. The dyed product is coated with a processing agent comprising the polymer of an unsaturated carboxylic acid such as acrylic acid or methacrylic acid, a copolymer comprising the unsaturated carboxylic acid and an ethylenic unsaturated monomer such as 2-hydroxyethyl acrylate or 2- hydroxyethyl methacrylate, a copolymer comprising the mixture of the monomers, etc., and having a weight-average mol.wt. of 1000-1000000 or its salt, by a method such as a pad drying method or a pad steaming method in an amount of 1.2wt.% per the fibers. |
