PURPOSE:To eliminate the excessive increase of the turbine speed within a short time while providing the stability of the learning correction when the learning correction of the setting time in made to increase the tightening speed of the friction element in the case where the speed change is executed by the releasing action of the friction element and the tightening action of other friction elements. CONSTITUTION:A front clutch 16 is release-controlled in the 3 2 speed change. The release pressure of a second brake 19 is discharged by communicating a 3 2 timing valve 104 with a drain, and the second brake 19 is tightened. This release pressure is discharged only within the set time, and the set time is successively learned. This learning is executed according to the deviation for the target value of the speed at the time of judgement for the speed change completion to be detected by a turbine speed sensor 201. The correction for each learning is set to a large value when the turbine speed is excessively increased, while to a small value when the turbine speed is reduced. |
