PURPOSE:To make an optimum steering characteristic securable according to a running state in a vehicle, in regard to an electronic control power steering system electronically controlling a steering assist quantity in a car steering mechanism. CONSTITUTION:In an electronic control power steering system 1 electronically controlling a steering assist quantity in a car steering mechanism, it is provided with a target assist quantity setting means 30B setting a target assist quantity at the time of electronic control, and this target assist quantity setting means 30B is made so as to set the target assist quantity on the basis of a fuzzy rule on condition of inputting a car travel speed and a lateral acceleration to be produced in the car. |
