PURPOSE:To provide a rear wheel steering device simple in construction, small in size and weight, excellent in durability and sufficient in correct steering angle in a truck and the like in which a rear axle housing is suspended on a carriage frame through a leaf spring device. CONSTITUTION:A rear wheel steering device which rotates a rear axle housing 16 supported on rear wheels at both lateral ends of a vehicle around a ball joint located in the center line of a vehicle body comprises a pair of right and left lower radius rods 76 the one end of which are mounted pivotally on the rear axle housing, a pair of right and left L form levers 82 which are supported pivotally on a pair of right and left column brackets 78 installed erectedly on a carrier frame 10 and one end of which is mounted pivotally on the other end of the lower radius rod, a connecting rod 86 to which the other end of the L-form lever is connected, and a rear wheel actuator 90 connected to one of the L-form levers. The top of the column brackets is fixed to the carrier frame at a position adjacent to a cross-member, and the bottoms of them are connected each other through an auxiliary cross-member 102 located under the carrier frame. |
