PURPOSE:To safely travel by detecting by a magnetic detector only when aboard sensing means does not sense boarding of a user. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor driven vehicle (e.g. a golf cart) always senses boarding of a user by aboard sensing means 7. A magnetic detector 43 detects a change in a magnetic field from a magnetic force generation source 44 during traveling. When the means 7 detects boarding of the user, the vehicle travels without detecting of the means 7 and without control of a traveling speed. When the user intends to stop the vehicle, he stops the vehicle body by operating a brake. The means 7 here means a seat switch for detecting a user's weight at the time of boarding or an optical switch having a switch for interrupting a light by boarding the user. Thus, the vehicle can safely travel without abrupt decelerating or stopping. |
