Display element and use thereof in a display panel and display system. The display element is generally cube-shaped (32) and so comprises four different coloured display surfaces. A cube (32) is rotatably mounted on stationary shafts (32) in columns Cn and rows Rm. The cubes comprise rotating means such as teeth and blanking means such as a recess. The rotating and blanking means simplify the rotation of the display element, making it more dependable and reliable, and enhancing the operation of the display panel composed of such elements. |
