A stable cleansing bar composition comprising, by weight: (a) from 5% to 75% of a substantially saturated fatty acid material selected from C8-C22 free fatty acid and fatty soap and mixtures thereof; (b) from 10% to 90% water; (c) from 0.5% to 35% petrolatum emollient having a particle size distribution wherein from 10% to 80% of said particles have a particle size of from 5 microns to 120 microns. The compositions of the present invention provide stable products which both cleanse and moisturise the skin.
