The edges of an opening or cover plate are framed with four profiled mouldings (4) each contg. a longitudinal covering groove (10) and a longitudinal combining groove (12). A right- angled joint (6) is provided with appropriate grooving at each of the four corners. The joint has a covering groove (2) forming an opening in its small outer longitudinal edge. For a cover, the joint has a groove in its small inner longitudinal edge. USE/ADVANTAGE - On housings of electrical or other technical equipment. System caters for edges of openings (13) as well as for those of covers.
