<p>PURPOSE:To stabilize combustion and to make sure ignition, by enriching the air-fuel ratio upon starting of a regenerating burner, and by setting the air-fuel ratio at an appropriate value when a predetermined temperature is attained. CONSTITUTION:Upon starting of a regenerating burner the opening degree of a fuel regulating valve 10 is made larger when a burner control device 13 judges that a temperature detected by a temperature sensor 12 in a burner combustion chamber is below a certain set value, and therefore combustion is carried out with the air-fuel ratio being enriched. Above the predetermined temperature, the opening degree of the fuel regulating valve 10 is decreased to return the air-fuel ratio to its appropriate value. Instead of controlling the fuel flow the rate or velocity of combustion air may be controlled.</p> |
