PURPOSE:To provide the subject composition composed of an intimate mixture of polybutylene naphthalenedicarboxylate and an antistatic agent, having excellent antistatic performance and, accordingly, giving a molded article free from static charge and causing little deposition of dust caused by the static charge. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is composed of an intimate mixture of (A) a polybutylene naphthalenedicarboxylate and (B) an antistatic agent (preferably polyethylene glycol having a number-average molecular weight of 500-100,000, a sodium alkylsulfonate, etc.). The intimate mixture can be produced by dry-blending the components A and B and kneading the mixture with an extruder, etc., under melting. The amount of the component B is preferably 0.2-30 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the component A. The above composition is preferably further compounded with a fibrous reinforcing agent such as glass fiber and a flame-retardant such as brominated bisphenol A polycarbonate. |
