摘要 PURPOSE:To enable rear wheels to be dissolved of their hunting action by steering the rear wheels while constantly comparing a stopping target with the maximum steering angle data of among the rear wheel steering angle data detected by a sensor when the front wheel steering angle exceeds the specified steering angle range. CONSTITUTION:When a front wheel steering angle data identifies a rear wheel proportional control range and finds it to be in a regular control sphere (B, C), the memory data is renewed in case the absolute value of the latest rear wheel steering angle data is larger than the absolute value of the previous data (in other words, the maximum steering angle data up to the previous memory) memorized in the memory of a control unit. Rear wheel steering is stopped at the point of time of reaching the rear wheel steering angle S as comparing the established rear wheel steering angle S (stopping target value) with the actual latest rear wheel steering angle data. As a result, even if there is some return in the wheel steering angle due to tire reaction force or the like, it is not the actual rear wheel steering and hunting will not take place because rear wheel steering is performed in accordance with the maximum steering angle data memorized before occurrence of such return.
