MANUFACTURE OF FIBER REINFORCED CURED BODY

PURPOSE:To disperse uniformly chopped strands in a cured body. CONSTITUTION:A screw feeder 17 is set above a mixer 10, and a glass fiber cutter 11 is set above the screw feeder. A roving 14 is cut by a cutter roll 12 and a kiss-roll 13. Air is jetted out of the peripheral face between plates 12a of the cutter roll 12. Curing material powder is fed into the mixer 10 from a hopper 18 by the screw feeder 17 in the state of rotating the mixer 10. At the same time, air is jetted out of the peripheral face of the cutter roll 12 to actuate the glass fiber cutter 11, and chopped strands 15 are fed into the mixer 10. Also water is fed from a water pipe 16. Slurry in the mixer is molded and cured.
