PURPOSE:To effectively obtain the subject compound useful as a synthetic intermediate for a silane-coupling agent, etc., in a high yield with inhibiting side reactions by reacting a specific silane compound with a specified allyl halide compound in the presence of a specific indium catalyst. CONSTITUTION:A silane compound of formula I [R<1>, R<2> are each monovalent (substituted)hydrocarbon group; (n) is 0-2] with an allyl halide compound of formula II (R<3> is H, monovalent hydrocarbon; X is halogen) in the presence of an indium catalyst selected from indium acid chloride (salt), indium trichloride hydrate and indium tetrachloride hydrate to produce the objective compound. |
