PURPOSE:To obtain a cake ingredient for a decorative cake contained in the interior or the top of a gelatinous cake such as jelly cake, sweet jelly of beans or NISHIKIDAMA (beautiful gelationous cake) and a cake using the ingredient. CONSTITUTION:Starch or wheat flour or both are used as a main raw material and mixed with modified starch and water to give a mixture, which is extrusion molded to give a decorative cake ingredient. The decorative cake ingredient is pregelatinized to give a decorative cake, which is integrated with a gelatinous cake to give a cake.
