PURPOSE:To provide vertical main cable laying method, capable of inserting a solid core twisting type vertical main cable easily through a small floor penetrating hole and capable of compacting a laying space. CONSTITUTION:Connecting units, arranged axially, are preformed at the upper ends of solid core cables 2,... of a solid core twisting type vertical main cable 1 made by twisting a plurality of solid core cables 2,.... Only the vicinity of the upper end of the vertical main cable 1 is separated so that a plurality of solid core cables 2,... are arrayed in parallel to each other. The upper ends of the solid core cables 2,... are lifted at site and are penetrated through a floor penetrating hole 35. Thereafter, cables for connection are fitted into the connecting units arranged axially to connect them. The solid core twisted type vertical main cable 1 is employed whereby the number of times of lifting is reduced. Further, a plurality of solid core cables 2,... are arranged in parallel to each other and, therefore, the size of front-and-rear width of the floor penetrating hole 35 can be reduced. |
