PURPOSE: To print or copy a character on a supporting medium in a manner where erasion can be performed so that a toner image may be easily corrected by setting a welding condition effective to fix a 1st toner image so as to be erased and fixing the image on the supporting medium. CONSTITUTION: When an upper unit and a lower unit are closed, a lever 123 is forcibly pushed up by a compression spring 127, so that pressure acts between two rollers 121 and 122. The left edge of a lever 125 comes into contact with a cam 131 rotated by a worm wheel 130 through a worm 129 driven by a step motor 128. Therefore, the spring 127 is compressed by the projection amount of the cam 131 at a contact, so that fixing pressure between both rollers is changed. By adjusting fixing temperature and/or fixing pressure, copying or printing is performed in a manner where a text and/or a graphic can be erased on the supporting medium or in a permanent manner. |
