Distributor of liq. or semi. liq. prod. has prim. body (10, 15) with entry (11) and expulsion (12) ports and one or more distribution compartments (18a-18n) defining at least one dosing chamber (50). Each chamber (50) is closed at one end by a mobile wall capable of being driven back and forth cyclically between rest and active positions and synchronised with the means of communication between the chamber (50) and either the entry (11) or expulsion (12) ports in order to introduce and expel predetermined vol. of prod. during each cycle. Distribution compartments (18a-18n) are formed within a longitudinal cavity (17) within the prim. body (10, 15) along the central axis (X) and between two end faces (42, n/s). A piston (16) displaces axially within the cavity (17) and has a series of heads (38a-38n), each sling within the distribution compartment (18a, 18n) and defining, via end face (42), the dosing chamber (50) whose entry and expulsion ports (11, 12) are in the plane of the end face (42). In the rest position the piston heads (38a-38n) block the ports (11, 12). USE/ADVANTAGE - The device is used to distribute melted chocolate or flavoured cream from a supply reservoir to a mould in the mfr. of confectionary. (claimed). A range of prod. vol. can be supplied and operation is simplified by using single piston. The device can be adapted for use with two reservoirs to supply filling and coating.
